You can save even more money by renting an RV or camping in one of Banff's many campgrounds; both options are significantly cheaper than staying in a hotel. And with so much to see and do in Banff; hiking and biking in the summer to skiing and snowboarding in the winter—you'll never get bored!

2. Maui, Hawaii
Maui is another excellent destination for budget-minded travelers searching for beautiful scenery and outdoor activities.
Airfare to Maui is the cheapest in September and October, so this is an ideal time to plan your trip. Once you're on the island, you can save money by renting a condo or house instead of staying in a hotel. With it, you'll even have access to your own kitchen! If the rental property or condo is located in a tourist location, take the time to drive a few miles out of your way before picking up groceries.
